This product is supplied as a bareroot split crown
Plant in sun or partial shade, on moist but well drained, humus-rich soils. Water well until established. Plant crowns 90-100cm apart. Remove all perennial weeds before planting. Waterlogged soils can lead to crowns rotting off. If establishment from crowns has been a problem in the past try growing in a container and planting out in the spring once roots have established. Rhubarb does not like to grow long term in containers
Allow 100cm between plants.
Avoid picking in the first year to allow good establishment. Mulch each autumn with well rotted organic material, avoid covering the crown as this can cause rotting. Remove flowering spikes as they appear. Only force a plant once in every 3 or 4 years. Keep weeds to a minimum.

Fruit trees can be ordered on this website but are a collection only item, if you order them for delivery your order will be cancelled and refundedDelivery and Collection:
Collection and Delivery options will be available on checkout. We try to get in stock orders boxed and shipped within 48hrs and often orders placed before 10am are shipped the same day. In busy periods however lead times could be extended. Orders containing plants will only be shipped Monday to Thursday (10am cut off) so they are not sat in boxes over the weekend. If you order after 10am on a Thursday you will not receive your order until Tuesday Seed only orders - £2.00: For orders that contain only packets of seed P&P is £2.00 to anywhere in the UK Standard Delivery - £4.95: Our standard P&P charge is £4.95 to Mainland UK Plants and Seed Potato - £6.95: These products will be subjected to a higher P&P fee of £6.95 due to the extra handling of plants and the extra weight with seed potatoes. Plants and seed potatoes delivered to the Scottish Highlands, Islands and Northern Ireland will incur a surcharge of £8.00 (postcodes listed below) Free Delivery – Over £50: Order over £50 will be delivered free of P&P charges Collection – Nursery: Click and collect is available from the nursery all year around by arrangement. This option can be selected at Checkout. We will then contact you to arrange a collection day and time. Collection – Potato Day: During check out you will have the option to select collection from one of our potato days. Please remember these are one day events so you must be able to collect on that specific day. There will be no charge for this service.
