Bolder leaf pattern than Red Frills and with consistent darker red colour. Adds texture and colour to salad mixes. Sweet mustard flavour. Easy and fast growing.
Sow into small containers and if given adequate light, can also be grown indoors during the winter.
Sow sparingly in shallow drills 6 to 12mm (¼ to ½”) deep.
Space seeds 2.5cm (1″) apart.
Mustard plants can be harvested once the leaves are 5cm (2″) tall. For milder leaves, pick young, they are best cropped at around 15cm (6″) for salads.
