A sunny & sheltered position is ideal, but they will tolerate most soil types. When creating the bed, mix in a good dose of compost or well-rotted manure to enrich the soil.
Plant 30-45cm (12″-18″) apart in rows 60cm (2ft) apart.
Regular weeding is important as with the very nature of their low growing habit, Strawberries run the risk of being swamped. Ensure you don’t cultivate too deeply close to the plant. Apply a mulch yearly to prevent heaving action caused by frost & a yearly dose of general purpose fertiliser will help to maintain your plants in top condition.

Bred by the University of California, this variety is regarded as simply the best everbearer strawberry available. It is a very heavy cropper of dark red berries that are extremely large & sweet and the quality of the fruit is maintained throughout the season. The fruits are long & conical in shape. lavour is outstanding, particularly for an ever-bearer. Has the potential to get 1lb of fruit per plant in one season! Superb disease resistance, particularly to crown rot, and is moderately resistant to verticillum wilt. Can be successfully grown in containers for a space saving crop. Self fertile. Plant at a distance of 12-18in (30-45cm) apart, and 2ft (60cm) between the rows.

Collection and Delivery options will be available on checkout. We try to get in stock orders boxed and shipped within 48hrs and often orders placed before 10am are shipped the same day. In busy periods however lead times could be extended. Orders containing plants will only be shipped Monday to Thursday (10am cut off) so they are not sat in boxes over the weekend. If you order after 10am on a Thursday you will not receive your order until Tuesday Seed only orders - £2.00: For orders that contain only packets of seed P&P is £2.00 to anywhere in the UK Standard Delivery - £4.95: Our standard P&P charge is £4.95 to Mainland UK Plants and Seed Potato - £6.95: These products will be subjected to a higher P&P fee of £6.95 due to the extra handling of plants and the extra weight with seed potatoes. Plants and seed potatoes delivered to the Scottish Highlands, Islands and Northern Ireland will incur a surcharge of £8.00 (postcodes listed below) Free Delivery – Over £50: Order over £50 will be delivered free of P&P charges Collection – Nursery: Click and collect is available from the nursery all year around by arrangement.
