A sunny & sheltered position is ideal, but they will tolerate most soil types. When creating the bed, mix in a good dose of compost or well-rotted manure to enrich the soil.
Plant 30-45cm (12″-18″) apart in rows 60cm (2ft) apart.
Regular weeding is important as with the very nature of their low growing habit, Strawberries run the risk of being swamped. Ensure you don’t cultivate too deeply close to the plant. Apply a mulch yearly to prevent heaving action caused by frost & a yearly dose of general purpose fertiliser will help to maintain your plants in top condition.

An excellent high yielding mid-season Dutch variety, one of the most widely grown commercial cultivars. A supermarket favourite due to its excellent storage qualities, size of fruit, and the fact that the fruit is less prone to bruising than many other varieties. The attractive fruit is glossy, orange-red in colour, has a delicious sweet flavour and is produced in abundance. The berries are large, conical in shape and easy to pick by virtue of the open growth habit of this variety. A good choice for the home grower as it has a delicious taste and can grow under most conditions
Self fertile. Plant at a distance of 12-18in (30-45cm) apart, and 2ft (60cm) between the rows.

Collection and Delivery options will be available on checkout. We try to get in stock orders boxed and shipped within 48hrs and often orders placed before 10am are shipped the same day. In busy periods however lead times could be extended. Orders containing plants will only be shipped Monday to Thursday (10am cut off) so they are not sat in boxes over the weekend. If you order after 10am on a Thursday you will not receive your order until Tuesday Seed only orders - £2.00: For orders that contain only packets of seed P&P is £2.00 to anywhere in the UK Standard Delivery - £4.95: Our standard P&P charge is £4.95 to Mainland UK Plants and Seed Potato - £6.95: These products will be subjected to a higher P&P fee of £6.95 due to the extra handling of plants and the extra weight with seed potatoes.
